The Way We Use Information

CubeSoft Communications vil nekte å gi bort, selge eller avsløre brukerinformasjon til noe firma, organisasjon, individ eller tredjepart, under noen omstendighet. Your privacy is important to us. We use the information you provide about yourself when you subscribe (or subsequently update your profile) only for processing recurring payments and for contacting you regarding issues specific to your subscription. We do not share the information with outside parties.

By participating in the Council of Better Business Bureau's BBBOnLine Privacy Program we have made a commitment to meet the program's strict requirements regarding how we treat your information and have it verified by BBBOnLine. Further information about this program is available at www.bbbonline.org. All BBBOnLine Privacy Program participants are required to work with the program's dispute resolution process. The Privacy Program will only accept complaints regarding the misuse of personally identifiable information by a website operator. Correspondence

E-mail exchanges between you and our technical support and sales department staff are archived and stored for an indefinite amount of time, unless you explicitely request that it be deleted. We do not share this information with outside parties.

Your Private Data Files

We will not read or modify the content of "private" data files uploaded or otherwise generated by you on our servers, unless you give us written permission to do so. Copies of your private data files are produced for backup purposes, so this policy also applies to all backup copies of your files.

Files that do not have the "world-readable" permission (or the "read-by-others" permission if the group of the file is "users") are considered "private". File permissions are easily managed through a variety of interfaces, such as "upload" programs and your unix shell. There are two specific exceptions to this rule:

1. System administrators may read and modify your crontab(5) file. This file contains commands that you wish to execute periodically on the server.
2. System administrators may read and modify scripts, binary executables and other private files containing instructions (control directives only), pertaining to the local e-mail delivery process. This includes control files associated with mail filters (for example, ~/.procmailrc or ~/.mailfilter). This rule only affects mail filtering programs, it does not include e-mail messages -- e-mail content is always considered private.

Although we will not access the content of private files, we can obtain the following information about any file on the server:

1. The name of the file
2. The file size
3. Date and time of last modification

Although we will not read the contents of your private files, we encourage you to encrypt and and digitally sign any sensitive information you wish to place on our servers. This is very easy to do using the gpg(1) tool, which is available on our servers. Specifically, we recommend the algorithms AES, 3DES and RC4, since our servers have specialized hardware to handle these operations efficiently.

Our Commitment to Data Security

We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We maintain multiple backup copies of all user files, including private files. Physically, all private user data remains in our cabinets, which are located inside MCI/Verizon data centers. The data centers are extremely secure, guarded 24/7 and protected by several authentication mechanisms. Only our staff is allowed access to our cabinets. We do not ship any media containing private user data or personal information, since there is always a risk of the backup media being lost or stolen. Defective and obsolete disk drives are either destroyed, or if we must return the drive to a vendor, subjected to a magnetic field of sufficient strength to erase all data in a non-recoverable manner.

We understand that the security of the private files you place on our servers is dependent on the security of parts of the server software that we use. We consider the prevention and prompt addressing of potential security vulnerabilities in server software to be an essential part of the service that we provide.

Use of Cookies

We do not use cookies to track how our visitors use our web site. If we do enable cookies to facilitate your transactions, we will inform you first and allow you to disable them without compromising the functionality of our website.
