Your privacy is important to us. We use the information you provide about yourself when you subscribe (or subsequently update your profile) solely for processing recurring payments and for contacting you regarding issues specific to your subscription. We do not share any of this information with outside parties.
We use the e-mail address(es) that you provide when you subscribe (or when you subsequently update your profile) only for responding to e-mail support inquiries, sending recurrent billing notifications and for sending notifications and announcements pertaining to the specific service that you subscribed for.
E-mail exchanges between you and our technical support and sales department staff are archived and stored for an indefinite amount of time, unless you explicitely request that it be deleted. We do not share this information with outside parties.
We will not read or modify the content of "private" data files (as defined below) uploaded or otherwise generated by you on our servers, unless you provide us written permission to do so. Copies of your private data files are produced for backup purposes, so this policy also applies to all backup copies of your files.
Files that do not have the "world-readable" permission (or the "read-by-others" permission if the group of the file is "users") are considered private. Mailboxes and databases are an example of private content. File permissions are easily managed through a variety of interfaces, such as our Control Panel, secure "FTP client" programs, or the unix shell.
Our administrators will not access the content of private files. They have only access to the following information:
Although we will not read the contents of your private files, we encourage you to encrypt and and digitally sign any sensitive information you wish to place on our servers. This is easy to do using the gpg(1) tool.
We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
We maintain multiple backup copies of all user files, including private files. Physically, all private user data remains in our server cabinets. The data centers are secure and guarded 24/7. We never ship any media containing private user data or personal information, such media is kept locked in our cabinet at all times.
We understand that the security of the private files you place on our servers is dependent on the security of parts of the server software that we use. We consider the prevention and prompt addressing of potential security vulnerabilities in server software to be an essential part of the service that we provide.
